Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bumgarner McClanahan and his parents.
He is survived by brother-in-law Stephen Bumgarner of Wilkesboro, David and Gary Bumgarner of North Wilkesboro, Ricky Bumgarner of Yadkinville and sister-in-law Kim Heverly of Statesville. He is also survived by a cousin in Tennessee.
Jim was a member of Matthews Baptist Church, Veteran of the US Air Force, attended Lees McRae College and retired from NCR. He loved sports – football, baseball and volleyball.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte with Pastor Cody Barron officiating. The family requests no food or flowers.
