Mr. St. John, 75, of Charlotte, passed away November 21, 2014. Mr. St. John was born May 29, 1939, in New Hope, NC. He was the son the late Larry L. St. John and Grace Horton St. John of Kannapolis, NC. Jay Harold, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, old westerns and spending time with his family and friends.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Jay Harold St. John will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 28, at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, at McEwen Funeral Service, Derita Chapel.
Jay was preceded in death by wife, Jodie St. John; daughter, Tiea Scism; three brothers; and a sister. He is survived by two children, James H. St. John, Jr. and wife, Dione, and Kimberly S. McRorie, all of Charlotte, NC; brother, Jerry St. John of Charlotte, NC; sister, Barbara Craver of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
