James Albert Yates, 79, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016.
Mr. Yates was a 36 year retiree from Delta Air Lines. He was also an active member of Shady Brook Baptist Church until June 2015 when he became sick.
His is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth P Yates, Daughter: Pamela Yates Striano and husband RJ of Fort Mill SC; Son Christopher B Yates and wife Karen of Davidson NC; brother, Roy L Yates of Denton NC and sister, Nell Yates Scott of Hillsville, VA.; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation & services will be held at the Forest Lawn West Funeral and Cremation Service @ 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208
Hours for Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 @ 1:00 pm with services beginning at 2 pm.
Family request that any memorials may be made to Joshua's closet in care of Shady Brook Baptist Church, 2940 Belmeade Drive, Charlotte NC in lieu of flowers
