He was born on May 21, 1964 in Chicago, IL.
In his younger days he relocated from Chicago and settled in the Charlotte area where he would live for the rest of his life. Jamie worked as a Chef and in kitchens in various restaurants over the years, namely Bistro 100 and Wendy’s. He also worked in the maintenance department at Ramada Inn for a time.
Jamie loved sports when he was younger, and even played football and other sports for many years. In recent years, he had developed a great passion for music and enjoyed listening to Rock and Country, with some of his favorite artists being AC/DC, the Eagles, Def Leppard, and KISS, among others. When he wasn’t filling his free time with music, he could be found hanging out and watching tv shows, such as Sanford and Son, or horror movies.
Jamie was a good person who cared about the people around him. He was selfless and would do anything for anyone.
Jamie is survived by his daughter, Christy Bennett; and Christy’s mom and his former partner, Janice Williams.
A memorial service to honor Jamie’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Jamie’s name to the Humane Society of Charlotte.
