Jane was a life-time Catholic and was a Charter member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC.
She was a very experienced business woman working as an Executive Secretary at Asplundh Tree Co. in its beginning. Years later, she returned to work at Duke Power Co.
With her husband Harry, she traveled with him throughout the Bahamas and served as hostess on their boat. She was a long term member of Myers Park Country Club.
Jane was survived by her son, John Haigh Ertel of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her sister Rosemary Warnke, and brother John (Jack) Haigh.
Jane’s greatest joy was her family. She took care of her dear Irish Mother for over 20 years; and doted lovingly on her son John his entire life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Ann Catholic Church, 3635 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28209 at 11:30 am on Saturday, December 23, 2017.
