Jane Sanford Lonsway

Jane was the daughter of the late Robert F. & Leola Hill Sanford. She was also preceded in death by her son Eric Fields, and brothers Farrell Sanford and Max Sanford.

Survivors include her devoted husband Don Lonsway, son Greg Lonsway and wife Paula with two grandchildren Hannah and David Lonsway from Florida, and son Brian Lonsway of Ohio; two sisters Audry Moore of Fairfax Virginia, Lorainne Caldwell of Lake Junaluska, NC, brother Leon Sanford of Idaho, sisters in law Stella (Farrell) and Cheryl (Max); devoted friends Bobbie & Jessie Green, and several nieces and nephews.

Jane was a devoted wife and mother. She loved doing crafts, working crossword puzzles and reading. Jane lived life to the fullest until her onset of Alzheimer’s which limited her activities.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11 am at McEwen Funeral Home – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.

A second Memorial Service will be held in Waynesville, NC at a later date to be determined.
