Janet Wash

Janet Wash, a cherished resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024, joining her beloved husband, Harold Richard Wash, and son Joseph Richard Wash, in eternal rest.

She is survived by her loving son, Richard Keifer Wash, and her adoring grandchildren, Aaron Joseph Wash and Bryana Mari Wash; as well as her father, Fidel Vazquez.

Janet was known for her deep affinity for nature, finding solace and joy among her cherished flowers and in the serenity of the beach. Her green thumb and nurturing spirit were evident in her meticulously cared-for yard, a reflection of her love for all living things.

Having dedicated many years to her career at Equitable, Janet retired gracefully, though continued to touch the lives of many through her work at Atrium Health Carolinas Health Rehabilitation. Her warmth, compassion and unwavering dedication endeared her to colleagues and patients alike.

Janet's life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens.

Her memory will be forever be cherished, her spirit forever embraced.
