Mrs. Janie Louise Armstrong Gibson, 101, of Charlotte, entered in to rest on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Brian Center-Shamrock in Charlotte. A native of Gaston County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Katy Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gibson; two sisters; one brother; and son-in-law, Bobby Kiser. She was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her daughter, Wylie Kiser, and three grandchildren, Skipper Kiser, of Alabama; Robby Kiser, of Charlotte; and Jeffery Kiser, of Concord. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20, 2016 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Mark Weathers officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
