Jeffrey Dale Turner

Jeff was born July 25, 1966 in Mecklenburg County, N.C. where he lived throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert R. and Jeanette Scates Ward as well as a brother Steve Turner, a sister Rita Ross, and a step-sister, Tammy Ward.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Ashley Marie, the pride of his life and Ashley’s mother, Tina Davis. Jeff and Tina were married in 1992 and brought Ashley up surrounded by animals and nature while living in the log cabin they built together. Jeff enjoyed entertaining extended family and friends at their home.

He was a skilled carpenter and took pride in working with his hands. His diverse training gave him opportunities as a commercial grading foreman, truck driver, and heavy equipment operator. This led to his volunteering to assist with clean up in New York City after the 9/11 attacks.

For fun, he enjoyed building and racing his dirt-track car. When he wasn't at the track,he enjoyed riding his motorcycle or watching old Western Films and spending time in the mountains,on the coast or simply being outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time sharing his passions with his Daughter. Jeff rarely was still and lived life at full speed!

He will also be missed by his sister, Vicki Puckett and husband Gary; his step brothers David and Robbie; his nephews, Josh, Christopher, and Russell Conklin; and his great niece Lola Blake Conklin. Tina’s extended family also loved Jeff and have many treasured memories of time spent with him. He will always have a place in their hearts.

Your life was a blessing, Jeff. You are loved and will be remembered always.
