Jenny and I were friends when we were in high school at South.  We had countless great times together—she was a hoot!  She often called me “mom” because sometimes I had to keep her in line!  We drifted apart after high school, going on to college, getting married, and having kids.  I’ve been reflecting on all the time we spent together when we were young and regret not getting in contact with her since moving back to Charlotte!  I’m sure her vibrant personality and zest for life will be missed!!  

I knew Jennifer from working in politics for D.G. Martin in 1986. She lived on the same street as D.G. and we became friends although she was much younger than I was but often much wiser. I am so sorry that the world has lost her and my thoughts go out to her family. 

My memories are plentiful and full of love and happiness with Jennifer.  She helped me find my first Apartment in Downtown Charlotte and treated me like family.  I will do my best to share the light she shined with others. I’m happy to have known her and called her a friend. 

So saddened by this news.  
When we met (probably prompted by her making a nail appointment) the children we currently had were pretty small.  She taught me to water ski:) Gave me creative parenting ideas, and helped decorate my world. She was a fellow lover of projects. She was such a charming and engaging person. She could certainly light up a room. My life is a better place from knowing her.

The latest memories I have of my beautiful cousin are when we reconnected in the late 80's  when I worked at Morris Brothers. We hung out a good bit. She was single at the time so my husband and I set her up with one of our best frirnds. She even spent the night with me once when my husband was out of town. I remember that specifically because we talked almost all night. I am so thankful she is now whole and at such peace in the presence of Christ.

Met Jennifer here in CLT first in 13’.  She was always so nice to be around. Often she would join me and friends at social events around town that I hosted. Sorry to read this. Prayers to the family 🙏. 

I had the pleasure of having Jennifer to my home a few years ago with a number of South Meck alumni, and she was such a joy!! We laughed and shared such fun memories for hours, I’ll never she was her old, endearing self.

Even today, I have a sweet momento she gave me, a notepad thanking me for the party, of which she wrote “ thank you for your generosity, so hospitable “.  I never wrote on it, or took it down, as I appreciated it much from this dear lady.  She looked just as pictured here, as beautiful as ever, a striking beauty I’ll never forget.

I’m simply heartbroken to hear of her passing, but will remember of our time that night, and her huge bright light that shined. I know she’s still shining now with Jesus by her side.

I pray for you all to be comforted that she’s no longer suffering, and all illness has been lifted.  God has truly gained an Angel.

Robin Allen

When Jenny and her sister Lyn came to visit me when I lived in a Tampa, Fl we decided to go to a horse race not far from where I lived.  I’ll never forget Jenny choosing the horse Bald Witch and our excitement and laughter over the race and the name.  Jenny was a beautiful woman and so much fun to be around.  My life is richer because our paths crossed.  Sincere love and sympathy to her children,  Mom and siblings.  Love ya Jenny.  Fly high without worry or pain.  Until we meet again.

I came to know Jennifer right around 2014 and immediately was drawn to her.  She was an incredibly caring and thoughtful woman,  and had a zest for life that always rubbed off on those around her.   She was simply a joy to be around.  I was tremendously saddened to get this news, but I will forever cherish the times that she and I spent together....Rest in Peace Jennifer 

I had only a brief encounter with Jennifer but it impacted me in a profound  way.  I met Jennifer my first month of moving to Charlotte from Miami. I was meeting a work friend for dinner and had arrived early and sat at the bar to wait. She was there sitting as well waiting for her pizza to go.  She spoke to me and asked me a bit about myself.  We chatted for about 15-20 minutes until her pizza was ready.  I told her that I wasn’t really “happy” about the move to Charlotte but it was a great job opportunity for my husband.  I said to her that I didn’t feel at home.  Before she left, she assured me I would fall in love with Charlotte, I smiled and thanked her. We exchanged numbers that night and stayed connected mostly thru social media. This was over 8 years ago.  She was kind to me when life was being hard...she was the first person to welcome me to Charlotte. I will never forget that, and she was right I did fall in love with Charlotte.  May she Rest In Peace.
