Jennifer Eileen Kist, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at her home in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 50 years old.

Jennifer was a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional accreditation in 2010 and was a member of the MPI: Meeting Professionals International and SPIN: Senior Planners Industry Network. Jennifer’s career as a Meeting and Event Planner gave her opportunities for European travel which fulfilled her passion for exploring other countries.

In Jennifer’s spare time she gave back to her community and volunteered for many of her favorite charities. To know Jennifer was to enjoy her sense of humor and sense of adventure. Her genuine spirit touched us one and all.

For those wishing to send memorial gifts, Jennifer’s wish was to donate to her favorite charities: Saving Southern Kitties – or 4Ocean -

We loved visiting Jen when she came out to Arizona. We remembered back in the old days when she and her cousins were together in Wisconsin as kids. We will miss your kind and gentle soul and your great smile so much. We love you , Jen. You will live in our hearts forever.

Jen and I shared some really fun times while I lived in Charlotte. I’ll never forget the first time we met up since high school for Brunch at Toast. She looked just as beautiful as ever and she hugged me so hard it was amazing. We went to yoga and a concert and to Halloween, Packers and NYE parties over the four years I was there. She was always happy and positive and always always hugged me like she never wanted to let go. I love and miss her so much.

To Jen's Family & Friends,

Barbara and I were shocked and saddened by the news. Jen was special, smart, loyal, committed, vivacious, perky and fun to be with regardless of the setting! We'll miss her and will keep her in our hearts and our prayers flowing.

I miss you Jen. You were my colleague and good friend. We weathered the ups and downs of event planning together. We bonded over similar family upbringings. You had a contagious sense of humor and always brought the “fun” everywhere you went. You are at peace now and have left your mark on those who were lucky enough to know you.

I met Jeni at church and had the opportunity to spend a couple summers at camp with her! We shared a cabin and in our free time, we had the best “air band” ever! We reconnected on Facebook after high school and her kind words and beautiful spirit helped me through many moments in time. Rest In Peace beautiful soul. 🙏

I worked with Jenn at MHI, and I will miss her dearly. The things I will miss most are her kindness, her warm smile and her wry sense of humor.

Jenn had a fighting spirit and she did not suffer fools, which I loved about her! If you ever had the privilege to be on her team, you were most lucky.

It was an honor to know her, and I send my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. She will be so greatly missed.

My heart goes out to all that knew and loved Jeni. There are so many memories that are flooding my mind right now starting from Jr High all the way up until recently. One that will stick with me forever is "The Jeni" a classic 80's dance move that our group of friends adopted at gym dances and beyond. She was a fighter, strong and very brave. She is in my heart and I will truly miss her.
