Jerelyn Cronin Burleson

She was born February 11, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Richard Ross Spink and Margaret Black Spink who recently had immigrated from Arbroath, Scotland. After her family moved to Florida, she met and married the one true love of her life, James R. Burleson, on October 8, 1958 in Tampa, Florida.

Jerri and Jim celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this year. She was a wonderful mother to her four girls, Patricia Burleson Beamer (Bob), Linda Burleson Ayers (John), Lee Burleson Williams (Tegwyn) and Jean Burleson Hyde (Ronny), a wonderful grandmother to six grandchildren, Christian, Rachel, David, Daniel, Callum and Evan, and great grandmother to Emma.

Jerri and Jim shared a love of travel. They were able to travel to Arbroath, Scotland to visit Jerri's ancestral home and family, they loved Hawaii and visited every state in the US. They always looked forward to the many big family gatherings and dinners they shared with the people they love. Jerri was a talented artist and homemaker, and her family was richly blessed by her.

Funeral services for Jerri will be Friday, January 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville-Matthews Rd., Charlotte, NC 28226, with burial immediately afterwards in the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.
