We little knew that morning , God was to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken , and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Sincere condolences from Uncle Harvey, Aunt Shirley, Sharon, Robert, Ronald, Dorcas & Harvey Jr.

To Bernie, Jessica and the rest of the Baker family; From Rolando Scott, Brooklyn,NY, Verizon family. Dearest Beloved, we are all very saddened to hear of Jesse's transition to the Ancestors. The Grand Architect of the Universe has called our Brother home. He was one of the Senior Cable Splicers at Nevins St Garage . He was among the first wave of African American Men hired off the street into a top craft NY Tel position in the late 1960's. Jess conducted himself throughout his career with pride, dignity and respect. A lot of us were mentored by Jess. We had a lot of good times together. Jess was ALWAYS muti-tasking. He had his hands in everything. He'd would host Holiday charitable events always thinking of the kids. He was our NY Tel basketball coach, although he'd always call the officals "Ump". When Jess would sit- in for the supervisor, he'd come out of the foreman's office dressed like "Shaft" and the entire garage would hum the theme from Shaft. Jess will sorely be missed but never forgotten. You were surely an inspiration to a lot of us. RIP our coworker, our partner, our friend. - with heart felt sorrow, Peace & Love - Scottie . . . Selah

Bernadette, words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about “Jesse's” death. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

Bernadette although we've only known you and your family for a few years, I am very grateful for those years. I learned that God blessed your husband to be an example for other males to model after. He came into the lives of many and conquered each of the tasks God laid before him. He now rests in the arms of our Lord where he will forever be in peace. Please know although he rests with the Lord, he still and will always be right here with you.
