Jessica Ellen Hartweg, age 22, passed away on July 15, 2016. She graduated from CATA in Monroe, NC and attended Temple University. Jessica saw beauty in the broken and revealed that beauty to others through art, music, photography, and theatre. She was also an excellent barista. She sought out the invisible, unlovely people and loved them. She was unabashedly strong- willed in a close-knit family of strong-willed women. Her dreams were as big as her gorgeous smile.
Preceded in death by her grandma and Memaw. She is survived by her parents, Rhonda and Bob; sister, Lauren (Joshua); twin sister, Kelly; fiancé, Brett; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her dogs, Murphy and Stella.
A celebration of Jessica’s life is planned for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Harrison United Methodist Church, 15008 Lancaster Highway, Pineville, NC 28134. A reception will immediately follow the service. A second Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 with a reception to follow.
