Jessie Nona Hodge McDonald, 61, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020. She was born to the late Julius Hodge and Eulalia Hunsucker on January 15, 1959 in Charlotte, NC.

Jessie Nona Hodge McDonald a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and one of a kind true friend that lit up the room with her laughter and love.

Jessie was preceded in death by husband Charles Douglas McDonald Sr. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie McDonald Black (Dink Black); son Charles Douglas McDonald Jr.; grandsons Trace McDonald & Jonathan Blake McDonald; siblings Julia Elaine Dixon, Margaret Catherine Hudson, Julius Eugene Hodge III, Allan Clay Hodge, John Berchie Hodge, James Darrell Hodge & Randy Scott Hodge; dear friends and care givers Susan Carswell Brown and Mitch Brown.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 beginning at 10am at The Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, 600 East 36th Street, Charlotte, NC. Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Interment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic in her memory.

Arrangements are under the care of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park.
