Jimmy D. Foster, 71, of Charlotte, passed away February 13, 2021. Born July 3, 1949 in Mecklenburg County, he was the son of the late James and Lillie Mae (Craig) Foster. He married Betty Cox on April 16, 1994 in Gaffney, SC.
A U.S. Army Veteran, Jimmy was a member Shiloh Baptist Church and the former owner of J & B Transportation.
An avid football fan, he enjoyed driving trucks and working on cars.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Foster; son, Bartees (Donna) Cox; five grandchildren; sisters, Sandra (Mark) King, Jaqueline Foster and Sheila Foster; brothers, Allen, Ivan (Valerie), Larry and Reginald Foster.
Graveside Service 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte. Visitation 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service.
