Jo Ann Elliott

Jo Ann Elliott, 78, passed away peacefully October 5, 2016. She was born March 25, 1938 to the late Ralph and Blanche Taylor in Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by husband, Howard Elliott and former husband, John T. Carpenter; sister, Brenda Auten.

Jo Ann was a homemaker while her children were young and later joined Bank of America mortgage until her retirement. She and her husband Howard were members of Pleasant Grove UMC and enjoyed their many friends and family over the years from the Oakdale/Coulwood community.

Survivors include children, David Carpenter and Cliff Carpenter (Darlene), Cynthia Miller and Janice Cooper, grandson Josh Cooper; siblings, Ralph Taylor Jr. (Hilda), Harvey Taylor (Debra), Susan Grimes (Rodney), Sheila Sherrill and many extended loved family members.A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Forest Lawn West chapel with the family receiving friends one hour before. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove UMC cemetery.
