Joan Abbinanti

Born June 1, 1935 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Magdelin Abbinanti. Joan was a resident of Mayslake in Oak Brook, Illinois, where she was a part of the marquee. She spent nearly 20 years in Mayslake and met many wonderful friends through the years, all of whom she loved dearly and made great memories with. She found great joy in being surrounded by friends and family, these were her happiest moments. She loved puzzles, bingo, her "stories", and most importantly, Taco Bell.

She is survived by two children: Carol-Ann Stewart (Raymond) and Howard Flebbe (Sheri). She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Rene Needham (Thomas), Meredith Flebbe (Angel Valdez), Jillian Stewart (Jame Funderburk), Shari Middleton (Chachi Pineda), Stefanie Balling (Chad), and Sarah Weimer; as well as her nine great-grandchildren: Hailey Flebbe-Eaves, Bryana Funderburk, Austin Needham, Jackson Fleebe, Riley Balling, Anthony Balling, Lilianna Flebbe, Seth Funderburk, and Arianna Pineda.

She has moved on from this life to join her two sisters, Ruth and Frances; her daughter, Pamela; and her grandson, Robert.

A service to celebrate Joan's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel,10500 Park Road, following a viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
