Mrs. Prophet, age 82, of Charlotte passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Friday, February 4, 2011 at CMC Main.
She was born November 26, 1928 in Charlotte, North Carolina the daughter of the late Earl Elson and Florence Hackett Elson. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Patricia Horne and Valentina Lineberger.
Surviving are her sons, Buddy Springs and Tony Springs (Penny), both of Charlotte; daughter, Cheryl Trudeau (John) of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Jason Springs of Charlotte, Brittan Wayne Springs of VA, Colby Taylor Springs of NY, Schyuler Bowman Springs of NY, Carrie Lyon of SC, Stacey Thompson (Richie) of SC, Matt Hunter of Charlotte, Jack Lyon (Stephanie) of TX; and sister, Jean Moore of Fletcher, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2011 following a visitation from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.
