Joann H. Trotter

Joann H. Trotter, age 89, of Stanley, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Born December 19, 1935 in Cramerton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Garland W. and Lorene (Bolick) Hogsed and wife of the late Clyde Wesley Trotter.

She retired from Ithaca Textiles after 25 plus years of employment.

An avid reader, Joann enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Terry Belcher, Tina (David) Goins, Crystal (Tom) Black and Steve Belcher; grandchildren, Terry Belcher Jr., Angela Edwards, Tasha Yandow, Leigh Ann Stevens, Brian Stevens, Sandra Gardner, James Shelton, TJ Black, Matthew Black, Cameron Black, Heather Belcher, Samantha Blake, Stephanie Belcher and Brianna Belcher; 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren; brother, Rondal Hogsed along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joann was preceded in death by her daughter, Lorna Stevens; son, Rob Belcher; sisters, Dean Hudson and Pearl Gholson.

A visitation for Joann will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 10:00 AM in the chapel of McEwen Funerals and Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
