Joanne's passing has left a void in the hearts of many people.
I have known Joanne for over 30 years and have witnessed what a pillar of strength she was for her children, family, and friends. Her heart was full of love and compassions for others; her presence brought joy and laughter; her encouragement was uplifting; her words were filled with wisdon and kindness, and her advice was always "spot on".
Rest in eternal peace my good friend. Much love.

Such sad news.
Joanne was one of those people you meet, immediately admire, and aspire to be more like. Even in a crowd, her bright personality and glimmering spirit shone through. She made whomever she spoke with feel like the most important person in the room!
Joanne never failed to ask about her former colleagues and to send her regards - with sincerity and warmth. Her enthusiasm and effervesence made any situation brighter.
The loss of Joanne diminishes us all; but I, for one, am a better person for having known her.
My most sincere condolences to Dr. Galusha and the family.

Joanne was a dear and faithful friend who was always ready to help those in need. She worked at Charlotte Memorial Hospital/CHS Main with my late husband for a number of years. She was always close by to support him and our family during his illness and passing. She meant so much to so many people, always ready to give love, care and encouragement. The amazing grace that was part of her spirit was shared with many. I thank God for her life and spirit on this earth, may she rest in peace. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Joann was a truly beautiful person inside and out. Always there whenever a friend was in need of support. Great sense of humor and tireless in performing what she saw as her responsibilities - far more than the average person. She will be greatly missed by many, many people. Worked with her at what was then Charlotte Memorial Hospital. She was an inspiration.
