Uncle John, I'm sure you are looking over your family with a loving heart and I know you miss them dearly. Give a hug to Grampy and a kiss to Nanny for me. Rick Blake

A whole year has passed since John has left us all.But in the heart of our dear Lord & Savoir Jesus, i know John is remembered & loved.
I want to express my love and heart's care for you Joyce, and please know that John is still well remembered.
Love to you and your family,
Bob Griffin

Cousin John and I grew up next door to each other in Danvers MA. He was 4 yrs. older than I and he enjoyed teasing me like a big brother esp. when I started dating.... When he got out of the service, he took me for a long ride in his sports car (triumph?) to Rockport. We ate lunch on the rocks on the ocean and talked, and talked. He had a terrific personality, warm, loving and fun. He loved Joyce so much. I remember him calling her "my Joycie". I introduced Joyce to him at her insistence at the Pavilion on the Neck in Ipswich one summer! His sister, Barbara, was hit hard by his death. It had been so long since she last saw him. I remember him being so positive as a kid, that his little brother, Richard, would walk someday. His family and friends miss him, but he will live on forever in our memories. God, please watch over John.

Barbara, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother John. I know it hurts, buy we do go on. My deepest sympathy to you Barbara and your family. Love, Linda

Dear Joyce and family,

I am so saddended by the news of John's passing. John is my cousin, and I always looked up to him, and when I was growing up, I wanted to be like John. We were neighbors on Locust Street, in Danvers. His dad and my dad were married to sisters Edna and Ester Lundgren. It was fun growing up with John. He was always 7 years older than I, but he never talked down to me. He was a great uncle to Rick & Brian, and I never saw him without a smile. I am blessed to have known John, and my heart goes out to you and your family in your loss. You are in my thoughts.

Uncle John had a playful spirit about him that warmed your heart and made you feel like a kid again, (no matter your age). I will miss him smiling, joking and performing his oh-so-famous "paper bag trick!" I love you all so very much and send a huge hug to you Aunt Joyce, Debbie, Mike, Matthew, Jason, Natalie, Johnny, Betsy and Megan. My heart goes out to you and you all are in my thoughts...

Hello Joyce & family.
Time has a way of passing so fast, but my memories of John are still in my head & heart. As you know John & i was very close when we were growing up.He was my best friend & we looked forward to hooking up on the week ends.It was nothing for us to look at each other and say,"Let's shoot up to Canada".Joyce,i know you remember the green sport car John had when you first met him.We had many good times together
My very favorite car he had was the 55 Chevy...what a great car that was.Remember the color cream & orange. I wanted a car just like that, but i never did get one. He married you & went south, because that was where your parent's lived & he loved you so strong and was crazy about you.As for me,i soon met the love of my life and married her and had 7 children.
Joyce, please accept my heart's condolence's.Thou we separated from each other when we both got married,i will never forget our friendship that we shared as cousins. My prayer's go out to you and your family at this time of sadness.
 BOB GRIFFIN

November 22,2010 So sorry to hear about Johnny. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. Elsie Griffin, John and Elaine Gianakakis. Ipswich, Mass.

I will miss my brother John so much......loved him dearly.......his smiling face,,hearing him whistling,,so proud to have been his loving sister..My heart goes out to his wife Joyce and his children...who loved him so much..he was such a proud family man....he will be missed by so many ....

I have had many incredible memories of Grandpa and all of the times and moments we shared. He will always be in my heart and memories. He taught me many things that I will never forget. He always cheered me up with his kjokes and tricks including a few i still can't figure out. he will be missed.

To all of John's loved ones, my deepest sympathy. I am a long distant cousin who hadn't seen John in years, but I always will remember his sweet smile and quick laugh. May you find strength through each other, and fond memories to last a life time. Judi Mahoney Stewart, St. Petersburg, FL.

To Ms Joyce. I cannot imagine the shock and sadness you are feeling right now. I am Casandra and I worked with John at Huttig. He was a wonderful person. I have such fond memories and he was so much fun to work with. He knew how to fix everything and taught me so much. He spoke of his family often and always had a sparkle in his eye when he did. He was proud of his family and he loved you Ms Joyce. It was so easy to see that when he spoke of you which was often. May God wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you and the family during this time. He will really be missed.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
I did not know John personally but I know his daughter Debra quite well. The shock of this tragedy has hit extended family and friends not close to the Carolinas hard. The words of John and his life through his daughter's words when telling me of his passing summed up a man to be more than proud of. I regret never having met him but through his loved ones (family and friends) his memory and time on this earth will be remembered and cherished. May he rest in peace.

To Uncle John's family,
As a child growing up, have fond memories of Uncle John. He was the coolest Uncle to have. Great cars!! Beautiful smile and lots of laughter! Always felt I was in a better place having him around me. My condolences go out to my Aunt Joyce,Cousins Deb and John and their families. Rest in peace Uncle John. Rick BLake
