John proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, a chapter of his life that be carried with pride.
John leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Karen, who was by his side through life's journey and remained there for him through his final moments, caring for him with love and devotion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose, brother, Frank, and nephew Bobby.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
John also leaves behind his sister, Ann Marie, who shared a special bond with him and will miss him dearly.
John will always be remembered for the love he had for his family and for the special place in his heart reserved for his beloved cockatoo, Peaches and dogs Gretta and Stephie.
John's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life, his kindness, his service, and the memories he created with those closest to him will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask to consider contributing to the Leukemia Research Foundation in John's memory.
