He was born in (Humphreys County), TN and was son of the late Johnnie Dallas Jones and Katherine McFall.
He was a faithful member of Pleasant Avenue Freewill Baptist Church and retired from 31-W Insulation Company in Concord, NC.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice Lane Jones; son, John A. Jones, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany Marze, grandchildren, John A. Jones III, Eden Raine Jones, Nolan Vang and Saraie Vang; sisters, Vivian Allen, Mellissa Woodroof and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services for Rev. Jones will be held 1:00pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West with Mr. Allen Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
