Tom worked many years for WBTV and later for The Boy Scouts of America, from which he retired. Tom usually had a smile on his face and always enjoyed a good laugh. He was an excellent pool player, often competing in city tournaments, and liked spending time in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on family vacations. Tom definitely appreciated a good party where he could spend time with friends and family. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of nearly 56 years, Judy Crump McCarley; his only daughter, Kim McCarley Mullis, son-in-law Kerry Mullis, and two grandchildren, Bennett Mullis and Carley Mullis.
Family and friends are invited to McEwen’s at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte, on Friday, January 19th beginning at 1:45 PM. Entombment will immediately follow at the Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum.
