John Robinson Simpson

Mr. Simpson, age 83 of Marion, SC passed away Monday January 12, 2015 at CMC Main in Charlotte. He was born in Rainelle, WVA on October 13, 1931 son of the late Emory Calvin and Elizabeth Robinson Simpson, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Chelvy Ann Seldomridge Simpson in 2011. He was a USMC veteran serving during the Korean War. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 P>M> Friday January 16. 2015 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC with a service to follow at 2:00 P. M. in the funeral home chapel conducted by Pastor John Chambers. Interment will follow with military rites in Sharon Memorial Park. Survivors include, three sons, Edwin Kelson Simpson and wife Mary of Rock Hill, SC, Stephen Wayne Simpson and wife Penny of York, SC, Michael Franklin Simpson and wife Michelle of Charlotte, NC, five grandchildren, Laura Catherine Simpson Rhodes, Anna Ruth Simpson Rotherham, Alyssa Simpson, Madisyn Simpson and Michael John Simpson, three great grandchildren, Katie Abigail Rotherham, Wyatt Tillman Rhodes and Henry Knight Rotherham and two brothers, Edwin Simpson of Arlington, VA and Dave Simpson of Point Pleasant, WVA
