He was born in Maracaibo Edo Zulia on September 22. From a young age he competed with his brother in the culinary arts, serving dinner to his brothers. After graduating he followed his culinary instincts, moving to the Capital where he would take his experience, and then move to Puerto la Cruz where most of his life would reside.
At La Cibulette, he began to teach haute cuisine. It is there where the doors opened to get to know others in the International Arena, doing work throughout Europe, Trinidad and Tobago, Chile and Argentina, and Peru. In this last place of work, they recognized him with a title of magister in his most beloved profession. Jose was a lover of Art; collector, buyer and seller of Pieces of well-known International artists, even interior decorating. Everything that he had, had to have a bit of design, and good living. He was a high connoisseur and critic.
The main things in his private life, were his nephews, godchildren and all those born around him. They all were his sons and daughters too him. All of us who enjoyed his company know who this great human being was and will always remember him.
Jose Ramon Pirela is now accompanying his mother and grandmother, and we will miss you every day of our lives.
