Independent free-spirit, adventurer, artist, musician, brother, son and friend. Born on May 29, 1964 in Hwachun Kangwondo Korea, he is the third child and second son of Ilsik Samuel Choe and Esther Taein Yu (d).
He had his share of life’s adventures traveling to Korea, biking across North America, through Canada to California, and playing music on expensive pianos (that’s a good story). His creative side came out in numerous ways as he earned a degree in commercial art from College of DuPage, but he also produced works both in visual art (ceramics, painting and line-drawing) as well as in music (on the piano and guitar). He loved the outdoors, spending time catching fish and camping.
He is survived by his father, his siblings, Eunkyung Grace Jang, John Choe, Linda Choe, Mary Aguirre, Helen Park, David Choe, Dan Choe and Suzanne Choe and numerous nieces and nephews, in addition to numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
