Josephine Jo Sneed Jenkins

A native of Bessemer City, NC, Mrs. Jenkins was born to the late William Esley Sneed and Lois George Sneed on September 1, 1922. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reece Jenkins, Sr., by brother, Flay Sneed and sister, Ruth Norton.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her children, Paul R. Jenkins, Jr. and wife Victoria, Alisa Jenkins McCain and husband Richard; grandchildren, Sean Jenkins, Matt McCain, Brady Nails and Abigail Nails all of Charlotte.

Mrs. Jenkins will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother that loved service to her Lord and her family. She was very proud of her children and her grandchildren. Mrs. Jenkins was a 52-year member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte and served many years as a Sunday School teacher and WMU Director.

The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 9 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service with the Rev. John Harrill officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
