Joyce is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wiley Norman Combs; son Gene Simmons and his wife Janet; son-in-law Kevin Kiser; grandchildren Courtney, Zachary, Austin; and great grandchildren Gage and Avery.
Joyce dearly treasured the company of others, especially during her many years as a waitress at the Kopper Kettle restaurant in Pineville, NC. Another of her passions included attending service at Southview Baptist Church where she was a loyal member until her heath failed.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at McEwen - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210. The funeral will begin at 12 Noon.
