She was born August 10, 1938 to the late D.W. and Mary (Teet) Yandle and was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School.
Joyce loved the Lord and was a long-time member of Crossroads Community Church of God of Prophecy, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir in her younger years. Joyce regularly contributed generously to several charities including the American Diabetes Association.
Joyce is survived by her two sons, Phil Rogers (Irene), Gary Rogers (Diane), and her daughter, Patty Layton (Paul) all of Charlotte, three granddaughters, four great grandsons, one brother, and her three sisters.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Don Rogers, three brothers, one grandson, and one great grandson.
