Born on August 23, 1938, in St. Louis City, Missouri, Judy was the cherished daughter of the late Helen and Roy Miller. After graduating from University City High School, she began her career at McDonnell Douglas. Soon after, she married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Thomas, and together they embarked on an extraordinary journey.
From the moment they met, Judy and Dick were truly inseparable. Their marriage of over 60 years was a living testament to enduring, unconditional love—a beautiful, steadfast partnership that inspired everyone around them. Through frequent moves and life’s changes, they remained each other’s constant, building a life filled with shared joy, adventure, and deep devotion.
They eventually found their heart’s home in New England, settling in Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. There, Judy and Dick nurtured lifelong friendships that spanned decades. They created countless cherished memories together—laughing on the golf course, gliding down ski slopes, hiking scenic trails, relaxing on beaches, and savoring meals at favorite restaurants over breakfast or a quick pizza. Judy’s warmth drew people in, and her genuine care turned acquaintances into lifelong friends.
Above all, Judy was the most loving, caring, compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing soul imaginable. As a devoted wife, Judy loved her husband Dick with a depth and unwavering commitment that knew no bounds. She cherished him unconditionally, standing by his side through every chapter of their extraordinary 60+ year journey together. As a mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, she made each person feel deeply seen, valued, and unconditionally loved. Her radiant smile and gentle spirit brightened every room and touched every heart, no matter the moment or circumstance.
Judy is survived by her four devoted children—Scott (Sara), Terri (Mike), Rob (Erica), and Kiki (Guy)—her beloved sister Linda Sides (Lee), and her six adored grandchildren: Jack, Kate, Matthew, Sophie, Ali, and Sam. Her love for her family was boundless; she delighted in every milestone, every hug, and every shared laugh with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Judy’s legacy is one of profound love, unwavering kindness, and a sparkle that will forever live on in the hearts of those she held so dear.
