Julia Church, age 84, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed suddenly at Novant Presbyterian on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. She was born to the late Marvin and Mary Frances Sandy in Wake County, North Carolina on July 21, 1939.
Julia began her career in insurance and later became a sales representative for many fragrance companies. She also spent over thirty years volunteering with the Symphony Guild of Charlotte and was instumental in the creation of the Musical Petting Zoo. She was a true animal lover at heart.
Julia is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, John Church; children Brian (Melissa) McKenzie, John (Shannon) Church, Jr., Christine (Mark) Varadi; grandchildren Josh Church, Jacob Church, Ian McKenzie, Isabel Varadi, Griffin Varadi and brother Jonny Sandy. She was proceeded in death by her brother Roscoe Sandy.
