Karen Hagler Crump

Karen Hagler Crump, (72) of Iron Station, NC, passed away on May 16, 2025.

She was born July 22, 1952, in Charlotte, NC, to Boyce W. McCall and Grace W. McCall (Mills).

Karen was active as a softball player during her youth and then was a majorette at Harding High School in Charlotte. During her career she worked as an accountant for many firms, most notably Delmar Photography, and Harley Davidson of Charlotte. Karen was an passionate animal lover who adopted many dogs and cats throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband James Douglas (Doug) Crump, her brothers Richard McCall, and Wayne McCall.

She is survived by her 2 sons Chad Michael Hagler (Elizabeth) and Eric Andrew Hagler (Brandy), a sister Janice Hill Rosen (Harvey) and brother Mark William McCall (Noelle). Karen also has 5 grandsons (Colin, Caden, Mason, Ethan, and Jacob), 2 granddaughters (Hailey and Briley), nine nieces and nephews, many great nephews and great nieces, and many friends.

There will be a visitation on Saturday May 24, 2025, at 11 am in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, followed by a graveside service at noon at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte NC 28208.
