Karianne Marie Sweeney

Karianne Marie Sweeney, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2025. Born on October 20, 1987, Karianne touched the lives of many during her time with us.

She leaves behind six cherished children: Kyle Sweeney of Ashtabula, OH; Debbie, Riley, Khole of Tampa, FL; and Stevie and James of Charlotte, NC. Her love for her children was boundless, and they will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

Karianne is survived by her life partner, James Hanna; mother, Deborah Tackett of Ashtabula, OH; and her sisters, Stephanie Hardy (Julius) of Charlotte, NC; Sarah Sweeney (Johnny Colon) of Cherryville, NC; Nicole Sweeney of Ashtabula, OH; and Josh Sweeney of Ashtabula, OH. She was also a proud grandmother to Kyle Sweeney Jr. of Ashtabula, OH, and leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Sweeney; her stepfather, David Green; and her maternal grandmother, Stephanie Nelson.

Karianne's vibrant spirit and unwavering love for her family will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her children and the countless lives she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Home - Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.
