Kathleen Harrison Kalinich

Mrs. Kalinich, age 72, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born August 14, 1937 in Marion, VA, she was a daughter of the late Forest Harrison and Opal Denton Greer Harrison. She graduated from Marion High School and Sheffield School of Interior Design. A retired retail manager, Mrs. Kalinich was last employed with Smarten-Up Wallpaper. She enjoyed decorating.

The service to celebrate the life of Kathleen Harrison Kalinich will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 13, 2010 in the Chapel of Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include three children, Debra S. Thomas and her companion, Daniel Frank, of Charlotte, Linda Simmerman of Charlotte and Robbie Simmerman and his companion, Yeelan Chen, of Monroe; a grandson, Dustin Travis Thomas of Asheville; and five siblings, James Marvin Harrison of Charlotte, Albert Steve Harrison of Greenville, SC, Charles Edward Harrison of Taylors, SC, Shelby Jean King of Draper, VA and Ruby Phibbs of Newport News, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kalinich was preceded in death by her husband, Michael.
