Kathryn Caudle Estes

Kathryn Ann Caudle Estes, 79, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2012. Kat was born in Charlotte and was a graduate of Central High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and cheerleading. She was an administrative assistant at Charlotte Treatment Center, later known as Amethyst. Kat was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Doug Estes; parents, L.O. Caudle and Ethel Lorraine Caudle and sister, Betty Joan Bartlett. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Judson; son, Doug Estes both of Charlotte; grandson Larry Deason and wife Laura of Nashville; grandson, Robert Elizer of Charlotte; granddaughter, Kelsey Elizer of Nashville; brother, Bob Caudle and wife Jackie of Raleigh; sister, Carolyn Hinds and husband Duke; niece, Terry Nordland and husband Dan, all of Pinehurst and many other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until noon on Friday, January 13 at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 followed by a 12:00 pm funeral at the chapel. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
