Kathryn Gill

Kathryn Lomax Gill passed away peacefully on April 25, 2017 at CMC Main. She was born in Charlotte, NC on January 19, 1921 to Malcolm and Kathryn Summers Lomax. She was a kind sweet lady, who always had a smile for everyone. Her family always came first.

She enjoyed sitting out on her back porch enjoying the birds and flowers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William (Bill); son Jeffrey; brothers Malcolm, Johnny and Howard; sisters Gladys and Betty.

She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne (Glen) Karasiewicz; daughter-in-law Miyako Gill; granddaughters Kathryn and Sandra Karasiewicz; grandsons Russell and Justin Gill, Michael and Christopher Campbell; great-grandson Adian Campbell.

A special thanks to the staff of Asbury Care Center of Charlotte and her sitters, June Danner and Betty Haywood of Homewatch. The family could not have asked for kinder people to look after her these last months.

Remember her with a smile. She is with Bill, "The Love of her life" for eternity.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 1, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte from 6-8pm. A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Sharon Memorial Park beginning at 1pm.

Memorials may be made to Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church Television Ministry or the Charity of the donor’s choice.
