Kathryn “Kathy” Ann Mullins Hyde, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at her residence. A native of Charlotte, she was born on December 16, 1958 to Fred Mullins and Barbara Franks Mullins. She attended South Mecklenburg High School.
Kathy is survived by her father, Fred Mullins and wife, Dayle, of Matthews; her mother Barbara Colerider and husband, Sam, of Mount Pleasant; a sister, Suzanna Russell (late husband Rob), Charlotte; two brothers, Seneca Mullins and wife, Michelle, of Charlotte, David Mullins, of Charlotte; a nephew, Jesse Tucker and wife Brandi, of Kannapolis and her two dogs, Max and Wizzard.
Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bruce & Sarah Franks and Harrison & Etta Mullins.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, January17th at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park with Rev. Nicholas Franks and Rev. John Hurley officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
