Kay Wikle Martin Carrigan, age 75, died Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, NC. Kay was born to Gola and Madeline Wikle on May 8th, 1950, in Swain County, N.C.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kay always placed the needs of others before her own. Her unconditional love and support brought comfort to all those around her.
She cherished time spent with loved ones, her animals, and birds, and embraced the warmth of sunny days at the beach. The impact Kay made on our lives will forever remain.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 18, 2025, at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC, 28262. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the service to follow.
