As i realise my own father's passing anniversary is this coming saturday I receine an email reminding me of Keith 's passing. I remember him as a very energetic man, always on the look out to help someone else and always greeting me with a smile. Fair wind until we meet again brother and sister Tinckgam.

I was saddened to learn of Keith's passing.  Shirley, Brenda and I are keeping you and your family in our prayers. I grew concerned when he wasn't returning my phone calls or e-mails.  

Keith and I found each other while attending Hospital Corps school in Great Lakes, IL in 1967.  We spent a memorable holiday weekend driving from Great Lakes to points south to visit family in Virginia and back again to Illinois in three days.  As fate would have it we were both assigned to the US Naval Hospital in Guantanamo Bay Cuba after Hospital Corps school.  We were roommates during our tour in Cuba.  When we left Guantanamo for our new duty stations we kept in contact up until his passing.  When Brenda and I were married, Keith and Shirley were there.  Keith and Shirley spent time with us in Florida a couple of times and He was always a willing guide wanting to visit the local LDS Temple.  Friendships that span sixty plus years are special.  Rest in peace old friend, you will be missed.

Fred and I were so sorry to hear of Keith's passing.  We have enjoyed knowing you and Keith for many years when we lived in Charlotte and have very special memories of our times together.  Keith and Shirley were always there to help whenever there was a need and were special friends through the years.  He was the best Home Teacher we ever had and faithfully visited us every month.

I loved Keith and Shirley and was blessed to have shared many memories through the years.  Keith was such a kind respectful  man and because he loved my homemade coconut cake I made it anytime we were going to be at the same family gathering....many times over the years. I spent many many days and  weeks with Shirley and Keith and their kids. I was the babysitter so I got to go on vacation with them. I was there when each one of the kids were born. I have a lot of memories with the Tinkham family. Shirley and my Mama were sisters.

Dear Shirley and family,
  When we moved to North Carolina in 2008 Shirley and Keith became dear friends. We watched a loving ,caring, selfless couple help and share love to all those they met. Keith served in Boy Scouts until they moved to South Carolina. He taught merit badges, was on the Matthews Ward committee, and helped with advancement and Eagle Board reviews.  He was patriotic and wore his Navy uniform to VA funerals with pride and honor.  Keith gave generously to the missionary fund in our Ward so young men could go on their missions.  Shirley and Keith visited the sick , helped with food orders for the needy, and showed  love to all. Keith never missed a birthday of ours. He sent get well cards and birthday cards to everyone. We really were saddened when our friends needed to move . They were always helping each other and their love for each other shines bright.  I am sure Keith is busy on the other side of the veil helping others, serving the Lord, and teaching the Gospel to everyone he meets.   Past descendants were there to welcome Keith with loving arms and thank you for all the work Keith did doing their genealogy.  Both Shirley and Keith were very proud of their children and grandchildren . What a special man ,what a special couple.              
May  we all rejoice in Keith's legacy and know he is happy and well now with loved ones on the other side of the veil.

Dear Shirley and kids, 

Shirley and Keith were a wonderful team that did immeasurable good in both their church and community. They knew just about everyone at church and always had willing hearts and hands to accomplish whatever was needed. I have missed them since they moved to Charleston. 

I have loved looking at all the pictures posted by the family. They were so rightfully proud of their children and spoke so excitedly and happily about all their wonderful grandchildren. You meant the world to both of them.

I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and father in this life but I know he is on the other side uniting with other loved ones long passed and will be waiting for all of you to happily reunite with him someday.

I read with sadness of the passing of Keith. My heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Shirley and children. I always looked forward to talking with Keith either regarding new drugs or about his kids- as I was their pediatrician for many years!

Jeaneane will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  Keith was one of the first reps I met when I came to Charlotte.
  He had just started with Merck  and I was starting with Squibb and I think we retired about the same time.

I knew Keith well.  Our lives mirrored.  I was a Navy Corpsman and drilled with Navy Reserves in Charlotte with him.  I was also a drug rep with Dupont (he with Merck). We were so sad to hear of Keith's passing.  He will be truly missed.  We only knew him for a few years before he moved, but Keith's positive attitude and quick smile were missed immediately.  His patriotism showed so strongly and his love of country and his fellow man were felt constantly.  It was quite common to get a quick birthday note or card thanking you for some simple kindness you had performed.  We will miss him greatly but know he is where he can continue to do good.

I have known Keith and Shirley about 25 years.  I was sad to see them move away from Charlotte but knew they needed the help of their children.
