

Kenneth Wayne Tucker, affectionately known as Kenny, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the age of 75.
Born on September 29, 1949, in Lafayette, Georgia, Kenny lived a life full of laughter, generosity, and deep love for his family. He proudly served his community for 33 years with the United States Postal Service. After retiring, he followed a new passion, attending barber school and later opening his own shop in Harrisburg, where he continued to connect with people from all walks of life. He proudly Served in the Army from June 28th 1968-January 29th 1970 in Vietnam.
Kenny was a man who never met a stranger. He was known for his incredible sense of humor, his giving spirit, and a heart that always put others—especially his family—first. He found joy in the simple things: playing slot machines at Cherokee and Kings mountain , classic cars, a round of golf, Carolina Beach, and spending quality time with the people he loved most.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Tucker; children Traci, Kevin, Brandon (Melanie), and Ken; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister Glenda Morgan (Dale). Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Russell L. Tucker and Frances M. Tucker, and his brother, Don Tucker.
Visitation will be held at 10am followed by a funeral service at 11am on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC. A Graveside Service will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
Kenny will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the laughter he inspired, and the legacy of kindness and strength he leaves behind.
