Kent was born on November 27, 1948, in Buffalo, New York. He spent much of his life in Palm Beach County, Florida working as both a teacher and school administrator.
He loved playing golf, listening to music, dining out or creating chef-worthy meals at home and spending time with his family including his four grandchildren Miles Nanaa, Nova Nanaa, Zoey Heitman and Serenity Heitman.
His wit, wisdom and humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Kent is survived by his wife Kathryn Heitman; son Matthew Heitman; stepsons Seth Nanaa and Adam Nanaa and their families and brother Jeffrey Heitman and his family.
He was welcomed into heaven by his parents Gerald and Dorothy Heitman.
A celebration of Kent’s life will be held in Florida at a later date.
