Laura was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother of three. She and her family were active members of Five Stones Church, where they found connection, community, and strength. In addition to caring for her children—Luke (16), Cody (11), and Theo (8)—Laura worked alongside her husband, Josh, in their family business, pouring her heart into both her work and her home.
She had a joyful spirit and a deep love for spending time with her family and friends. Laura was known for her compassion, creativity, and sassy sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, tending to her plants, and expressing herself through her tattoos and ever-changing, brightly colored hair - one of her signatures that brought smiles to those who knew her.
Laura is survived by her husband, Josh Hodgson; her sons, Luke Irwin, Cody Hodgson, and Theo Hodgson; her stepchildren, Devon Luoma, Kierstyn English, Taryn Hodgson, and Ashton Hodgson; and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents, Ken and Anne Haugh, and her sister, Christine Nguyen and brother-in-law, Brian Nguyen, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service to honor Laura’s life will be held on November 22, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at Five Stones Church in Wesley Chapel, North Carolina. Attendees are invited to wear bright colors in memory of Laura’s love of peacocks.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Levine Cancer Institute of Charlotte, the University Cancer and Blood Center of Athens, GA, and to the many friends, neighbors, and loved ones who came alongside them to support Laura and her family over the past three and a half years.
