Born on January 7, 1992, in Birmingham, Alabama, Lee was the beloved son of Karen Decker (Edwin McDonald) and the late Don E. Decker, Jr., and the cherished grandson of Margie Hindman and of Don E. Decker, Sr. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 9 years, Anna Case Decker, and a proud father to his three daughters, Carolina, Catherine, and Abigail. He is also survived by his sister, Kirby Kinderknecht (Gabe), nephews, Everett and Henry, and so many other family members and friends who loved him fiercely.
Lee’s life was defined by his unwavering faith. He came to know Jesus at a young age and lived with a servant’s heart, faithful as a friend, devoted in ministry, and gracious in leadership. That same servant’s heart was most evident in how he loved and served his family.
A graduate of the University of Alabama, Lee earned his degree in history, a testament to his lifelong love of learning and his desire to know God’s world more deeply. He later graduated from Highlands College with a concentration in pastoral ministry, where he further developed his passion for serving others. He carried that same spirit into his work with small businesses, where his creativity and steady leadership blessed all who worked with him.
In 2016, Lee married the love of his life in a beautiful prayer-filled ceremony. Together, they built a joyful home where he treasured every moment with his wife and children, whether exploring the great outdoors, taking family trips to Alabama, or cheering on the Crimson Tide.
Lee’s faith was the heartbeat of his life, shaping the way he loved, led, and lived. Though his time with us was far too short, the light he shared continues to shine brightly in the lives of those who had the honor of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fultondale campus of Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made in Lee’s honor to support your local church.
