He loved his family, fishing and made treasured memories coaching his daughters in basketball and softball. Mr. Nivens worked for 40 years in trucking, specializing in heavy duty suspension.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Walker Nivens, Jr.
Mr. Nivens is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen West Nivens; mother, Joan Carleen Nivens; daughters, Lesley Nivens, Amy Nivens Bishop & husband Brian Bishop; brother, Chip Nivens & wife Jean Nivens & family; sister Cathy Keith & family; beloved grandsons, Taylor Nivens, Mason and Trevor Bishop.
