Lila W. Hopkins

Lila Elizabeth (Williams) Hopkins, 87, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2021. Born February 12, 1934 in Winston-Salem, NC, she was the daughter of Raymond “RB” and Margaret (Hood) Williams. A former member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Lila retired from Carolina’s Telco Credit Union. She was a lifelong member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church. Best known for being a seamstress and cross stitcher, Lila enjoyed cooking and traveling. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 64 years, Calvin “Buddy” Hopkins; children, Phil (Bettie) Hopkins and Calvin (Alison) Hopkins; grandchildren, Ginny, Katie, Ty and Kaysey Hopkins; sister, Betsy Schneider; brother, Harry (Judy) Williams; nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Durham Memorial Baptist Church, 1601 Toddville Road, Charlotte, NC. Visitation 12 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
