Lillian K. Williamson, 93, of Charlotte, passed away April 22, 2021 in Concord, NC. Born April 5, 1928 in Pineville, NC, she was the daughter of William Sanford and Molly Jane (Starns) Kinley. She was the wife of the late Thomas “Tate” Williamson. A graduate of Long Creek High School, Lillian was a member of Mulberry Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder and choir member. She was also a member of the Opera Guild of Charlotte, Charlotte Zodiac Dance Club, a Life member of McGee Presbyterian Church and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She retired from Union Carbide after many years of employment. Lillian enjoyed attending church, dancing, traveling, reading, needlepoint, cross-stitch, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her son, Ronnie (Karen) Williamson; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and her grandson, Matthew Thomas Williamson. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. Visitation 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Mulberry Presbyterian Church, 5600 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC 28208.

I'm sorry to hear of Lillian's passing. I knew her through the Charlotte Zodiac Dance Club. We shared many a laugh at the dances. Lillian was a lot of fun. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this sad time.
