

Born January 8, 1944 in Charlotte, Linda was the daughter of Ray and Alma Long. A devoted member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, her faith served as a steady foundation throughout her life.
Linda embraced her role as a homemaker with wholehearted dedication. She found great joy in caring for her family and nurturing a warm and loving home. She shared over sixty-five cherished years with her husband, Kenneth Byrum, and together they raised three sons: Kevin Byrum (Tina), Terry Byrum (Tonya), and Craig Byrum. Her grandchildren, Wesley Byrum(Ashley), Matt Byrum(Molly), Ryan Byrum(Alexis), and Dillon. Great-grandchildren, McKinley, Baileigh-Rae, Mac, and Adaley. Her family was the heart of her world.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Alma Long and by her sister, Judy Woody and husband, Gary.
A funeral service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Noon, Tuesday, April 22 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte with the Rev. Ron Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
