Mrs. Stowers, 67, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Sardis Oaks Nursing Center following a long illness. She was born on November 11, 1944 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Morgan and Iva Mace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Hank, Darrell and Jerry Mace; and sister, Delsie Smolder.
She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and was employed by the State of West Virginia. A resident of Charlotte since 1980, Linda was employed by Bank of America for 26 years. She loved NASCAR racing, traveling with her daughter and most of all, her dogs Princess, Pebbles and KK.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Stowers of Charlotte, NC, brother Kenneth Mace of Vale, NC; Edna Surface of Charleston, WV, sister in law Frances Mace of Charlotte and a host of nieces and nephews.
